NAZI ART
11.Adolf Reich, Robbed of House and Farmstead, 1940. The title of the painting suggests that a
peasant couple seated in a notary’s office in Austira is being robbed of
everything they own. The two men coazing
the farmer into signing the contract correspond to the hateful anti-Semitic
image of the deceitful Jew. The 1934
calendar indicates that the scene is set before the annexation of Auastria by
the Nazis.

12. Adolf Ziegler, Nude, 1942. Nazi Art celebrated the naked body, and particular the naked body of what they called the Aryan race. This is academic realism as propaganda: the racial ideal in the nude, a mixture of Classicism with a contemporary type.
